Thera-Clean Microbubble Specialty

Regular shampoo only cleans the surface. Our Thera-Clean Microbubble Machine goes sub-surface. This system creates microscopic bubbles small enough to travel inside your dog's hair follicles and pores. Without a single harsh chemical, the machine uses a mild electric charge to gently lift out trapped dirt, dander, allergens, and yeast that standard bathing entirely misses. Pure, deep-pore relief for itchy Frenchies, sensitive Bulldogs, and chronic shedders.

We believe dogs do best when they have room to breathe. That's why Sitting Pretty RVA operates as a primarily cage-free salon. We schedule our days carefully so your pup receives continuous, hands-on attention from our team, rather than spending hours waiting around. Our main floor is open, relaxed, and designed to keep stress levels low. Comfortable crates are available if a dog needs a quiet break, safety separation, or simply feels more secure resting in their own cozy space.

How do I know if my dog is a good fit?

If you have a small-to-medium pup, a dog that drops hair all over your house, or a furry friend dealing with itchy, sensitive skin, you are in our sweet spot! We welcome gentle dogs of all shapes and sizes who thrive in a low-stress, social environment.

How does 'primarily cage-free' work on arrival?

When you walk in, you won't hear a wall of barking dogs stuck in crates. Your pup gets checked in and immediately enters our open, low-stress lounge area or goes straight to their dedicated bather. If your dog prefers their own private, cozy space to rest, or if safety requires it, we have comfortable crates ready to go.

Can I request a specific stylist?

Absolutely! If your pup has a favorite human, you can request them when booking. Just keep in mind that our bather specialists will always handle the deep-clean prep work and Thera-Clean treatments, setting the perfect canvas for your stylist.

Appointment & Cancellation Policy

We protect your pup's time slot, we ask that you protect ours, too! Because we operate as a highly collaborative, cage-free team, we don't overbook our days. Your dog's slot is a dedicated block of time reserved completely for them.

The 24-Hour Notice Rule

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. There is absolutely no penalty!

The Deposit Trigger

After two late cancellations (less than 24 hours' notice) or one no-show, a non-refundable $25 deposit will be required to secure future appointments. This goes directly toward the cost of your service.

The 6-to-8 Week Routine Maintenance Rule

We ask that our routine styling and premium bath clients maintain a maximum window of 6 to 8 weeks between visits. Keeping a consistent schedule ensures our bathing team can properly manage your pup's coat and our stylists can deliver a fast, patient, and completely pain-free trim.
